Chapter 10- Circles
Before Chapter 10, I knew many things about circles. Such as the radius, diameter, chord, and finding the area and circumference. However, after going through chapter 10, I have learned many new things about circles. Before, I never knew arcs existed. I have learned how to find arc measures. I have also learned about tangents and inscribed. I know this will help me in life because it is something ARChitects and developers use in their careers each day. I am still confused on secant angles..
HAHAHAHA!!! ARChitects. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, secant angles are angles made by two intersecting secant lines. Secant lines are lines that intersect a circle at exactly two points. They intersect outside the circle and are one-half of the product of the two intercepted arcs they make. Hope this helped!
Hey Macy!! Like Jacob said, secants are lines that intersect a cirle, but at exactly two points. You can point them out from the tangent lines because the tangent line borders the circle, and doesnt include two intersecting points.
